This conversion will utilize the GM TKO.
You’ll need a
- Lakewood conversion bellhousing and bellhousing
- Custom made pilot bearing or bushing
- 26 spline clutch disk
- Speedometer cable
You can use your stock clutch components, flywheel, etc. Use the fork that comes with the bellhousing.
You’ll need to modify your driveshaft to install the Ford slip yoke, and shorten your driveshaft accordingly.
You’ll need to modify your crossmember.
The transmission may fit into your tunnel, and you’ll only need to open up the existing shifter opening to allow the toploader shifter base through. The pics in the following link show the tunnel being
cut up more than was necessary.
